Living in a mountainous area is not easy, for people or for wildlife. The animals have to adapt to the cold, harsh weather conditions and the scarcity of food that these conditions create. The land can be covered in deep snow during the winter making finding food difficult. And the bright white snow makes animals stand easily making them a target for predators.
